Since 2008, the Death Valley R.O.C.K.S. (Recreation Outdoors Campaign for Kids through Study) program has brought thousands of students from Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and gateway communities to Death Valley National Park for an interpretive learning experience with park rangers. The National Park Service and Death Valley Natural History Association co-sponsor visits to Death Valley giving students an opportunity to visit and enjoy environmental education in Death Valley’s land of extremes. Donations assist with transportation, supplies, or any other expenses related to bringing students to this one-of-a-kind outdoor classroom. Can these kids count on you?
Did you know that Fourth graders and their families can visit public lands including Death Valley National Park with the “Every Kid Outdoors” program. This nationwide program was created so fourth graders and their families could discover wildlife, resources, and history of our public lands for free.
