DVNHA Unrestricted Fund

The DVNHA Unrestricted Fund is like the expansive root system of the arrowweed, always working beneath the surface, drawing nutrients to ensure the entire plant thrives. Just as the arrowweed depends on its roots to withstand the harsh desert conditions, our association relies on this fund to navigate challenges and remain steadfast in our mission.

By keeping the doors of DVNHA open, the Unrestricted Fund allows us to gather resources and rally support for the breathtaking expanses of Death Valley National Park and Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge. Think of each donation as the life-sustaining water the arrowweed draws from the desert floor, fueling the growth of its shoots and flowers. While there are many ways to give directly to the parks, supporting the Unrestricted Fund is like ensuring that the arrowweed’s roots remain healthy and strong.

In doing so, you’re ensuring the vitality of the entire ecosystem around us. Your generosity towards this fund not only ensures the immediate survival of DVNHA but also paves the way for future generations to marvel at and learn from the stories and wonders of these unique landscapes.

Flood Recovery Fund

Death Valley National Park, known for its rugged beauty, was hit hard by the floods from Hurricane Hilary, receiving a year’s worth of rain in a single day. This caused severe damage and led to the park’s closure. The DVNHA also felt the impact, and we still need your help. Donations to the Flood Recovery Fund support our mission and help us recover from this disaster. Your contributions ensure we can continue our vital work and aid in the park’s restoration. Join us in this crucial effort—every donation makes a difference. Thank you for your support.

Dark Sky Viewing Area (Stars Above Sand)

We are excited to offer a unique opportunity to support an ambitious project at Death Valley National Park: transforming a vacant site into a stunning night sky viewing area. With growing public interest in night sky activities, this project will enhance visitor experiences and create a dedicated space for stargazing. Your contributions will help us build paved access, ample parking, telescope viewing areas, an accessible trail, and public restrooms. Join us in making this dream a reality—donate today to help create a magical night sky viewing area for all to enjoy.

Search and Rescue (SAR) Fund

DVNHA’s Search and Rescue (SAR) Fund is essential for keeping visitors to Death Valley National Park safe. This incredible park, known for its extreme heat and challenging terrain, draws adventurers from all over. However, its beauty can quickly become dangerous, making fast and effective rescue operations crucial. The DVNHA SAR Fund supports the park’s search and rescue teams by providing funding for necessary resources, equipment, and training. These efforts save lives and ensure that visitors can explore the park knowing help is available if needed. Your donation to the DVNHA SAR Fund directly supports these vital missions. Please consider giving today to help us keep Death Valley a safe place for everyone.

Scotty's Castle Fund

Scotty’s Castle, a breathtaking 1930s landmark on the National Register of Historic Places, resides in a remote corner of Death Valley National Park. Preserving this historic treasure has always been a challenge, but the urgency intensified after the October 2015 rain event and subsequent flash flooding. The situation further escalated in April 2021 when a fire destroyed the historic garage and damaged another outbuilding. As a result, Scotty’s Castle remains closed and in dire need of restoration.

By donating to the Scotty’s Castle Preservation Fund, you help restore and maintain this iconic site, supporting crucial projects like the restoration of the enchanting theatre organ. Your generosity ensures that the magic and history of Scotty’s Castle endure for future generations. Join us in preserving this piece of history—donate today and play a vital role in keeping Scotty’s Castle alive.
