Kids in Death Valley: Hike

There are many kid-friendly hikes in Death Valley National Park and at Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge. Here are some of our favorites!

Natural Bridge

An easy 1-mile round-trip hike to Natural Bridge will be fun for kids of all ages! Although the path is rocky, it is easy to follow. The short distance and beautiful formation make it an ideal hike 

Badwater Basin

Venture out onto the Salt Flats to experience the lowest point in North America. Hike further out to see the iconic polygon salt formations, or take a picture at the sign for a short visit.

Golden Canyon

The first mile of Golden Canyon is great for kids of all ages. Several different hikes start at this trailhead. For more experienced hikers, extend your trip by taking one of the longer routes!
